All our hopes of a big street party for such a special occasion were dashed when lockdown was announced to try and tackle the Covid pandemic. Instead we found other ways to mark the occasion and take the party out into the community. Jenny (our senior carer) dressed up in WW2 clothes and visited our Service Users with cakes which were kindly donated by Headley Fine Foods. We delivered traditional Fish & Chips to everyone and the day was spent reminiscing about the good times and singing “We’ll meet again…”
