Why should I apply to Acqua Doria?

We dont just care for our service users, we care for our employees too. We know that a good team is our most important asset so we work hard to make everyone feel included and valued.  We operate an open door policy, encouraging our carers and staff to come in if they want to chat or need help.

    What hours do you offer?

Acqua Doria is a growing business and needs workers who can drive and will be available to work at least alternate weekends.  We offer our service users care during weekdays, evenings and weekends so there should be work at a time that suits you.

We’re happy to discuss individual circumstances and can normally offer hours which are flexible enough to accommodate your lifestyle and commitments.

    What are we looking for?

    Ideal candidates should have:

    • a kind, caring and helpful nature
    • experience within a healthcare sector
    • completed their care certificate
    • NQV Level 2/3 or equivalent.
    • a driving licence and have a vehicle they can use for work

For less experienced staff we can offer full training and support to learn while you work, you will shadow our senior carers, complete your Care Certificate and will have the opportunity to undertake an NVQ qualification.

To succeed our care workers must have good common sense, the ability to work unsupervised and be dedicated to promoting high standards of care.

    What can I earn?

We offer excellent rates of pay for all staff plus bonuses, flexible hours, in house training opportunities, free uniforms, paid mileage and, pay enhancements for candidates who hold NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent.  Full time care workers working a mix of days can easily earn over £21,000 a year with mileage, perks and enhancements on top.

What kind of training do you offer?

At Acqua Doria we offer training in all aspects of caring for someone at home.  Our courses are organised by our in house trainer and you will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss any aspect of the job role as you go through the induction course.

Our courses include Moving & Handling, First Aid, Health & Safety, Safeguarding, Medication Awareness and many more.

    What support can I expect?

At Acqua Doria we appreciate that although working as a home carer is a very rewarding job it is not always an easy one and we aim to support you every step of the way.  Through our bespoke induction and initial training we ensure that you have the underpinning knowledge required to safely assume the responsibilities of caring for our service users. Before working unsupervised you will be mentored by our senior care workers, you wont be expected to work alone in the community until we all feel you have the confidence and ability to do so.

You will always be able to speak to a member of our management team for advice and support while you are working and we’re always willing to listen to any concerns you have.
